Fine Art Legacy Portrait: $850

These classic portraits are photographed indoors in your home or on location, and they will preserve your image and personality for generations to come. They generally, though not always, picture you from the waist up, and are often photographed by soft, natural window light, though flash may also be used. You can be photographed against a portable fine art backdrop that I will provide or in a mutually agreed upon location of your choosing.

A portrait using a fine art backdrop is the most classic style of portrait there is! By eliminating all visual distractions, you become the entire focal point of the portrait: your face; expression; who you really are. Classic portraits are simple, timeless, and beautiful, and have been captivating people for centuries, from Rembrandt’s paintings to your own portrait today.

Portraits that use natural surroundings let people know a little more about who you are. For example, you could be curled up in your favorite chair reading a book, sitting at a table enjoying a hobby, glancing thoughtfully out a window, walking in a forest, fishing in a stream, practicing ballet, browsing at a library, taking flying lessons, or however you would like to be pictured.

You can wear whatever you’d like for these portraits, from a vintage Victorian outfit to a pair of jeans. It’s all about how you see yourself, who you really are, and how you would like to be seen now and remembered in the future.

The session fee includes a $400 nonrefundable retainer. It is due when you book your session and it reserves your session date exclusively for you. There is a three day grace period, so if you cancel within three days of paying the retainer, your retainer payment will be refunded. The balance of $450 is due before the day of your photography session.

The session fee includes:

• pre-session consultations via email and phone

• my travel time

• your custom fine art portrait photography session

• editing and artistic retouching

• your finished portrait reveal

• three 8x12-inch fine art prints in 12x16-inch archival white mats

• the artistically retouched high resolution digital files of those three images for printing

• the artistically retouched low-resolution digital files of those images for emailing and social media

Additional matted 8x12-inch fine art prints with the digital file are $150/each.
